Megs flowers fun.
Creating flower bouquets has become a therapeutic and relaxing form of self-care for me this year, especially during stressful times like the current economic worries. Not only does it provide a beautiful pretty space, it also provides an outlet for my creative expression and helps ease my feelings of anxiety and stress.
To begin, I gather a variety of flowers such as roses, lilies, dahlias, and other locally available blooms. I choose colours that inspire positive emotions, such as blue or purple for calmness, pretty pinks and botanical greens to connect with nature.
Next, I consider the vase or container that will hold your bouquet. A simple glass vase or rustic pot can make a big difference in setting the tone of your space. I Try to choose complementary colours and styles to your chosen flowers to create a cohesive look.
When it comes to arranging the flowers, I start with the largest blooms and place them at the centre of the vase. Then, arrange the medium-sized blooms around the centre in a spiral pattern, before moving onto the smaller flowers to fill in gaps and add texture. I like to cut the stems at an angle as this helps to increase water absorption and extend the life of your bouquet.
It is the absolute best when my ladies send me photos of my creation in a prominent spot where they enjoy the beauty and fragrance of my bouquet. knowing our ladies are taking a moment to sit back, relax and bask in the beauty and joy brought by my flowers is wonderful!
Remember that taking care of yourself is crucial during tough times and feeling a sense of accomplishment by creating something with my own hands like a flower bouquet, goes a long way in promoting positive feelings for all.
I really hope you feel the care that goes into creating flower bouquets and they bring you a sense of calm and relaxation in uncertain times. Lets enjoy the beauty and inspiration they provide.
